Just What America Needs

Dear World:

The court will strike down gun laws for being too strict, but do nothing to keep school children from being gunned down. Friends of the world, you see in this example what we are dealing with. Political decisions from people the American Bar Association deemed to have excellent judicial temperaments to make fair and unbiased decisions. The masks came off on June 25 and now they and the right wing party they serve are in a huge hurry to implement their agenda–to destroy public schools with voucher laws designed to shut down public schools in favor of private charter schools where they can teach religious fundamentalism with no interference from the government. They can also take the tax dollars going into public schools and put it straight into their pocket since there will is no government accountability for charter schools. When you destroy education and start indoctrinating children you weaken democracy. Republicans have been defunding schools for years and years in the interest of weakening the public school system and getting people to believe that the public school is failing. They want control of education, women’s bodies, the government, and more. These are some reasons why I’m terrified about what we’re losing and the kind of future that we are staring into.
